Stories

Dam ripples
Concentric stories
Of moments
Now
Now
And now
Echoes
Of probable states
Communicating
Intention
To those who dwell
In its coolness
Looking up
And across
In reflected
Refracted
Diffracted
Well lit
Realities

Two leave for higher ground
Making house
In an emerald forest
Spires of truth
Bearing the seeds
Of memes
Broadcasting
Their stories
Into the mind of the earth
Where a billion
To the power of a billion
Vibrations
Imprint their story
Into the foundations
Stone
Rock
Dirt

Up they scramble
Hands out for the sun
Foot holds in cliff wall
Green sentinels
Proud of their lineage
The left lung
Of a right world
A living story
Of place by time
To observe
Makes Infinity finite
Now
How many D’s do you see

December 23, 2007

Looking out at a dam, I wrote this. Its not an epic, just a simple piece about stories. I could write what I was intending for the reader to get from it but that would be self defeating.

The video? It is simply where I was when I wrote the piece. You might say a bit of scene setting.

Set the scene, recreate the dream, explain away the reasons you made what you made. Will it impart the serenity and the intensity that you see, does a stone buddha give it more meaning, i’d hope it gives less but its not my eyes that are going to be doing the interpreting, just eyes, self’s eyes. I think that this rap is ending, it started but now the words are depending feeling shaky wondering if I should be editing or just letting it run out on the page, letting them say what they need, letting those fingers feed, on the keyboard of my insanity.

LOL, that was fun. A wee rap for the poem. No edits.

So how many D’s do you see?

My best is usually two, though I have seen one.
